Pro-Palestinian protesters block roads leading to airports in Los Angeles, New York

Pro-Palestinian protesters on Wednesday blocked roads leading into John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Los Angeles International Airport.

At around 11 a.m., a group of protesters on a road leading into the New York airport formed a human chain in front of traffic.

Video footage of the protest posted on X shows activists chanting the slogan: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free! From the sea to the river, Palestine will live forever.”

In addition to the human chain, the protesters also parked cars as a barricade, officials told The New York Post

Police broke up the protest and ended the street blockage by 11:50 a.m., said the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Across the country, a similar protest broke out on Century Boulevard in Los Angeles leading in and out of Los Angeles International Airport.

Airport traffic was blocked for over an hour, starting at around 9:25 a.m. local time and ending at around 10:37 a.m., the Los Angeles Airport Police Department said.

A person driving by posted purported footage of the LAX protest on X, with signs visible saying “Ceasefire is not enough, land back! Free Palestine!”

Several people were arrested at the LAX protests, officials told KTTV-TV, with some being written up and released for rioting and others being taken in for assault on a peace officer.
